
§ Larry Trout attended high school in Wadena, Minnesota and received his Bachelor¹s degree in Elementary Education at St. Cloud State University. He began his teaching career as a second grade teacher in Watertown, South Dakota. Mr. Trout took a break from teaching to work for a financial supply company, Banker's Systems, Inc. There he supervised retirement accounts, IRS reporting services, FDIC and the FSLIC. While working at BSI, he completed a mathematics degree with concentrations in biology, physics, and chemistry. Mr. Trout moved to Houston and taught high school mathematics for five years at E. L. Furr High and joined Houston Community College as a part-time teacher and subsequently an administrator. He has contributed his expertise to new teachers through the Master Teacher Program at Rice University's Department of Education. Mr. Trout became the magnet coordinator at HSPVA following twelve years of teaching mathematics and being the mathematic's department chair. He is currently HSPVA's assistant principal. His hobbies include travel, the arts and he considers himself a connoisseur of good food and wine.
